Conco Companies welcomed Missouri’s Lieutenant Governor, Mike Kehoe, to their facility in Springfield, Missouri September 2024 for a tour of their quarry’s operations.
During the visit, the Conco Companies team demonstrated the importance of the quarry for local transportation and residential construction projects. Its materials provide the basis for roads, railways and airports as well as water and sewerage systems, essential to our infrastructure.
Conco Companies also shared how quarrying activities contribute to the revenue of local communities through taxes and create employment opportunities. Through taxes generated from operations, quarries provide a substantial revenue stream that funds essential public services and infrastructure projects. Additionally, quarrying operations create a variety of employment opportunities, supporting local families and businesses.
